In addition to producing, Bundy moderated the Newark Municipal Election Forums for Cablevision, and hosts a weekly public affairs television program, Meet the Leaders. Guests have included Governor Jon Corzine, N.J. Commissioner of Commerce, Rev. William Watley, Congressman Donald Payne, Archbishop John J., Meyers, Congressman Leonard Lance, Congressman William Pascrell and Newark mayor Corey Booker.
Bundy has garnered five CAPE Awards and has been nominated for two ACE awards.
Bundy teaches Critical Thinking, Group Dynamics, Decision Making, Values and Conflict Resolution at St. Peters College, Montclair State University, Seton Hall University and Rutgers University School of Social Work. He has lectured and conducted seminars and workshops for nonprofit groups, associations and large corporations. He received his Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Human Services from Montclair State University. Mr. Bundy has also received training in Gestalt Family Therapy. After completing courses in television production a Rutgers University, he studied fundraising at the Fundraising School in San Rafael, California, from which he graduated in 1983. He is also a graduate of the Executive Agency seminar, sponsored by Prudential Insurance Company and a Leadership New Jersey Fellow, a year-long program that focuses on major issues facing the State of New Jersey. From 1989-2001, Mr. Bundy served as the director of the Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Plus Program at Seton Hall University and is thereby responsible for the graduation of more than 50 minority physicians who are now practicing throughout the Garden State.
Mr. Bundy is a Board Member of the Symphony Hall in Newark and Leadership New Jersey, as well as a Public School Board Member of the Robert Treat academy Charter School. He is also a graduate of Leadership New Jersey and has served on the Essex County Board of education for nine years. He was recently appointed to the Board of Trustees of Essex County College. In 1991, he established the Project 2000 program at Alexander Street Elementary School in Newark and Oakwood Avenue School in Orange, N.J. He is a member of the Newark NAACP and attends St. Matthew A.M.E. Church of Orange.
Alfred is married and lives in Orange. He is the father of three children, Melody, Jason, and Rashsaan.
